I am a lifelong learner, lover of nature & native Virginian at heart. I grew up in Hampton as a military brat and fell in love with the military culture as well as the history of Virginia. I have spent the majority of my life in the medical field caring for others, first as a candy striper at age 16, then as a nurse in a level II trauma center and now as a certified trauma therapist. I use many disciplines and philosophies within my toolbox in order to assist my clients in determining the best overall person-centered approach to treatment. Some may call this eclectic, but to me, YOU will always the best expert in your own care and deserve a non-cookie cutter approach to treatment!
I currently reside in Newport News and attend Regent University’s PhD program pursuing a doctorate in Trauma Psychology & Counseling. I don’t have any pets, but I do have a boyfriend, which is the next best thing!
Choosing therapy can be daunting, but having the courage to walk in the path of your own journey teaches us and others along the way, that being vulnerable in the moment can instill your soul with a lifetime of resiliency. I look forward to being a part of your therapy journey.tem description
