REY L. Martinez

Resident In Counseling

  • In my work, I always strive towards bearing witness to the struggles and worries of others nonjudgmentally to make them feel heard. As such, I take a person-centered approach when working with people to understand their circumstances and hear what they are willing to do to create goals that are personalized to the individual. I strive towards increasing the quality of life of my clients by recognizing, addressing, and paying respect to behaviors and thought patterns that can complicate an individual’s life. I approach clients with open-mindedness, curiosity, and compassion to listen to their struggles and foster an environment of warmth and transparency. My practice is focused on substance use, anxiety, and depression. I am willing to work with all adults and adolescent males ages 12-18.
